FieldKit Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 14, 2026
FieldKit is a field notes and tools app by Evolution Tools. This policy explains what data the app stores, when the app communicates outside the device, and how subscription payments are handled.
Summary
FieldKit is designed to work offline. Records, notes, photos, markers, tasks, reminders, settings, backups, and exported reports are stored on your device unless you choose to share, export, back up, import, or send something using another app.
FieldKit does not sell user data.
Data Stored On Your Device
FieldKit stores app data locally on your device, including:
- records and record details
- notes, checklist items, to-do items, and due dates
- photos added to records or notes
- photo markers and annotations
- app settings such as language, units, and reminder preferences
- local subscription/access status used by the app
- backups and exported reports you create
This data is stored in the app's local storage area on the device. Evolution Tools does not operate a cloud sync service for FieldKit at this time.
Data You Choose To Share Or Export
FieldKit can create reports and backup files when you choose those actions. Exported reports and backups are created by user action. After export, you control where those files are saved or shared through the device and other apps.
If you send feedback, FieldKit opens your email app with a draft message. The message is sent only if you choose to send it from your email app. Your email provider handles that email according to its own privacy policy.
Google Play Subscriptions And Updates
FieldKit may communicate with Google Play to check subscription status, manage subscriptions, process purchases, and check whether an app update is available or required.
Payments and subscription management are handled by Google Play. FieldKit does not collect, store, or process payment card numbers or other payment credentials.
Google Play may process information needed for purchases, subscriptions, account status, and app updates according to Google's policies.
Permissions
FieldKit may request or use these Android permissions:
- Camera: used when you choose to take a photo for a record or note.
- Notifications: used for optional due date, overdue, or stale record reminders.
- Internet and network state: used for Google Play subscription checks, update checks, and opening external services such as Google Play or email links.
FieldKit does not use these permissions to upload your records, notes, or photos to an Evolution Tools server.
Data Retention And Deletion
Because FieldKit stores records and notes locally, data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, remove exported files yourself, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
Uninstalling the app or clearing app data may delete local FieldKit data from the device. Export a backup first if you need to keep your records.
Third-Party Services
FieldKit may interact with:
- Google Play, for subscriptions, billing, subscription management, and app updates.
- Your email app and email provider, when you choose to send feedback.
- Android system services, for camera capture, file handling, notifications, and sharing.
These services are governed by their own privacy policies.
Children
FieldKit is intended for field work and productivity use. It is not directed to children.
Changes To This Policy
Evolution Tools may update this policy when FieldKit changes or when store, legal, or platform requirements change. Before public release, the current policy will be made available through the app listing, support page, or another public Evolution Tools page.
